Sharing information in today’s digital world is risky and full of threats that evolve every day. Everyone is a target — from small businesses to big corporations. The question is how to adapt to new challenges.
Luckily, there are a lot of options, and it is up to you and your team to find out which one works better for your needs.
We have been developing MyChat since 2004 and know, how teams cooperate, what tools they use the most, and how they deal with privacy measures.
Based on our experience, companies switch to self-hosted programs because they no longer trust cloud platforms. They are right because using cloud services means that you can be cut off from your own data just like that due to hacker attacks on servers, or internet disconnection.
Own secure hosting
MyChat provides various options for collaborative work both over the Internet and local network (LAN). Both options are equally safe because you operate on a private server in your network and company building.
Your administrator or IT team configures the server according to your workflow: choose which tools to display in the application, which groups of users are allowed to use certain features and more.
Integration with helpful services
MyChat is an independent program. The application provides all collaboration tools including voice conferences, remote access, task management, internal forum, and bulk messaging.
Moreover, MyChat is integrated with helpful services that extend its abilities:
- Active Directory and LDAP (simple user management with automated employee authorization and authentication);
- Telegram (sending messages and images);
- GeoIP for tracking;
- Asterisk for internal telephony.
For advanced users, it is possible to extend MyChat’s default features by writing their own scripts on the server.
Available on all platforms
MyChat Client is available on Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS, and Android. Mobile applications are native which means they work fast and “weight” less. It is also possible to work with chat in a browser (WEB application).
MyChat Server is available for Windows only, but there is no issue with running it on Linux OS with Wine, for example.
